Ibrahim Zai

Ibrahim Zai is one of the largest sub-tribes of the Gandapur tribe of the Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa of Pakistan. They are the descendants of Ibrahim, the second son of Gandapur. They have been leading the Gandapur tribe for a very long time only to be over taken by Bara Khels.

Large sections of the tribe resides in Kulachi City, Luni and Maddi. Naurang Khan Ibrahim Zai was the leader of the than tribe and has in his possisson some 2 and half lac (Almost 30,000 acres (120 km2) of land in tehsil kulachi, please refer to the "Taqsim-e kalan and taqsim-khure in DIKhan revenue office)He was the "Sardar" and used to maintain his own "Force" "Naurang Khan with 50 Horsemen" the book was written by an English officer for his bravery against the "Sikh raj in mulatn" who helped the British Forces and saved Multan City for them. For his meritorious services, he was given a large chunk of land by British Government in today Serai Naurang Lakki Marwat. His family has been an important and influential family in the whole Gandapur tribe.
